About the event
Darryl J Carrington is a physical comedian and mostly non-verbal clown who loves messing around with objects, timing and visual gags. He has been making playful, inventive shows for over twenty years, rooted in physical theatre and contemporary circus.
His previous show, Out of the Box, won Best Family Friendly Show at Brighton Fringe 2025 and went on to a highly acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025, with critics calling it “utterly absorbing, charming and great fun.” Audiences loved his ability to connect across ages using inventive physical comedy.
TENNISH is Carrington’s first fully adult comedy show, premiering at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026. It starts as a tennis show before quickly going off-court, as rackets, balls and towels become instruments, obstacles and punchlines. Playful, chaotic and visual, TENNISH explores ambition, performance and big dreams — this time firmly for adults.
