About the event
Get ready for 3 hours of ceilidh, hoedown and barn dances with the Cut A Shine Barn Dance Band. The band hosts monthly dances in London, and are
taking to the road to tour our dance show across the country.
About The Dancing
Although called many things; Ceilidh, Country Dance, Barn Dance, Ceili Dance, Square Dance, Set Dancing - one thing is certain, it's all "traditional" and how people would entertain themselves before TV and raves. We have a live band on stage to provide the music, and a "Dance Caller", who is an expert at teaching you all the simple and fun moves. First, we learn the dance by walking through it with the caller, then the band strike up, and we dance to the music. You don't need any experience, just a willingness to have a go and have fun.
